Will Smith might be suiting up as Agent J one more time—and fans are buzzing.
The Men In Black icon recently dropped a major hint that a new installment in the franchise is in the works, and he just might be in it.
During a candid conversation on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast with Gillie Da Kid and Wallo, Smith revealed that while he once swore off sequels, Hollywood just came knocking—with the bag.
“I told myself I was done with sequels… I got some new things I want to make,” Will said.
“Literally this morning, an hour before I came down here, they just threw the bag for another Men in Black.”
This potential Men In Black 5 project would mark Smith’s return to the franchise after nearly a decade since Men in Black 3 (2012). His legendary chemistry with co-star Tommy Lee Jones, epic alien chase scenes, and that unforgettable suit-and-shades style turned the original 1997 film into a global phenomenon.
And it looks like Smith isn’t ready to hang up the neuralyzer just yet.
Will Smith: Music & Movies Collide
What’s even more exciting? Will’s film career is syncing up with his music comeback. His upcoming tour, supporting the release of his new album Based on a True Story, kicks off June 25 and runs through September 2.
That means filming for the new Men in Black project could begin as early as fall 2025—right after the tour wraps.
Why This Comeback Matters
Will Smith’s influence in both music and film is unmatched. From Fresh Prince to blockbuster legend, he’s always had the power to redefine pop culture. A return to the Men In Black universe signals a nostalgic yet fresh reboot of a beloved franchise, with Smith bringing the charisma, style, and now—new music.
