After nearly two tumultuous years battling legal woes, YoungBoy Never Broke Again (NBA YoungBoy) finally sees freedom on the horizon. The Louisiana rapper’s federal prison sentence, originally set to conclude on July 27, 2025, has now been dramatically reduced to April 26, 2025, according to recent updates from the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Last December, YoungBoy was sentenced to 23 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to gun charges linked to an arrest at his Utah residence, where authorities also accused him of operating a prescription drug fraud scheme. Initially facing separate charges across multiple jurisdictions, YB’s legal team successfully consolidated all charges into one global resolution, significantly reducing his total sentence.
Attorney Drew Findling previously hinted at this major turnaround, stating, “People are going to be shocked at how quickly he’ll be out.” That prediction is now reality, cutting NBA YoungBoy’s sentence from nearly two years down to just five months.
Currently serving time at Talladega FCI in Alabama, YB will face 60 months of supervised release post-incarceration, with conditions including regular drug tests, mental health evaluations, and substance abuse assessments.
Even behind bars, NBA YoungBoy has kept his fans fed, dropping two albums—I Just Got a Lot on My Shoulders and More Leaks—proving nothing can stop his creative momentum.
