Kanye West has stirred controversy once again by claiming “Jewish businesses” prevented him from featuring on Playboi Carti’s highly anticipated album, MUSIC, which recently dropped. Ye took to X (formerly Twitter) to express that outside influences led to his removal from the project.

In a candid statement, Kanye declared, “Jewish business forced Carti to not put me on the album. Same thing happened with Trav,” referencing Travis Scott’s recent release, Utopia. Kanye also revealed plans for a joint album with Carti titled Carti Ye, which he claims is now permanently scrapped. He shared potential cover art from a Miami event in December, adding fuel to the fire.

Fans were caught off guard, especially since Carti previously hyped Kanye’s involvement during a live performance in Vegas, where he enthusiastically announced, “Shout out to my n*a Kanye… He over here making beats and st. That album gonna be crazy, I can’t wait to show y’all n**as.”

Why It Matters:

Kanye’s statements raise critical discussions on artistic freedom, industry influence, and the broader implications of his controversial claims.
