PARTYNEXTDOOR was ready to start a new music beef—but just as quickly, he’s backing down.

On February 26, the OVO Sound artist hopped on Instagram Live and previewed an unreleased diss track aimed at Tory Lanez, accusing him of swagger jacking his sound. The track was filled with direct shots, including lines like:

“F* what Tory Lanez say, you know the B, I’m running that / I did everything he did, oh he’s just a running man […] You said I sound like Young Thug, you know you sound like me […] One day, you’ll be me.”**

PND doubled down, saying:

“I’m not y’all n-ggas’ friend. F* you talking ’bout, bro? Stop saying my name, n-gga.”**

But just when fans thought this would turn into the next big music beef, PND pulled a U-turn.

The Apology That No One Saw Coming

A day later, PND hit Instagram Stories with a public apology, admitting he spoke too soon without having the full story.

“@torylanez I was told about what you said without hearing your video for myself. You didn’t say anything that I wouldn’t say myself, now that I seen it I was wrong. City is stronger together.”

Is This Beef Dead or Just on Ice?

While PND’s apology might have put out the fire before it started, fans aren’t sure if Tory Lanez will just let this slide.

Will these two actually link up for a track and turn this into a win? Or is this just the calm before the storm?

KMOB1003’s Take 🎤

PND was ready for war, but quickly waved the white flag when he realized he might’ve jumped the gun. But will Tory accept the apology, or is this going to be a slow burn of petty shots?

Do y’all think PND really meant that apology, or is this just damage control? Sound off in the comments.
