Atlanta police are pointing fingers at Lil Baby, but his legal team isn’t letting that slide.

The rapper’s lawyers are blasting Atlanta law enforcement after authorities suggested that he is somehow responsible for the murder of two teens.

What Happened?

During a press conference on February 26, Major Ralph Woolfolk of the Atlanta Police Department (APD) announced the arrests of seven people connected to the murders, which police claim are linked to a triple shooting on the set of Lil Baby’s music video in May 2024.

Authorities allege that a “high-ranking” gang rival of Lil Baby’s ordered the hit from a Georgia prison, leading to the tragic deaths of two innocent teenagers.

But instead of focusing on the actual suspects, Woolfolk publicly called Lil Baby a “coward”, accusing him of knowingly filming a video in a rival gang’s territory, which allegedly sparked the violence.

Lil Baby’s Legal Team Responds

Lil Baby’s attorneys, Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg, wasted no time shutting down the allegations, calling them “complete and total nonsense.”

🔹 “To say that he couldn’t shoot a music video in his home town, a place that he loves and has continued to uplift, is disgraceful.”

🔹 “The location for a major music video shoot is a decision made by a professional team and is not a decision made by any individual.”

The legal team made it clear that Lil Baby had no involvement in the shooting and slammed APD for its “unprofessional, unethical, and shameful” handling of the case.

They also said the rapper is “devastated” by the tragic loss of the two teens.

Police Double Down on the Accusations

Major Woolfolk didn’t hold back at the press conference, directly addressing Lil Baby and his crew, stating:

“You know who you are. And I’ll tell you that this team will work relentlessly to hold you and the persons that you are affiliated with responsible for those actions.”

He also painted a heartbreaking picture of the tragedy, saying:

“Lamon Freeman was allowed to be a 13-year-old for 27 minutes before gang violence ultimately took his life. Gang violence that was orchestrated by adults. And the cowardly acts of an Atlanta-based rapper that decided to go over into a rival gang stronghold and shoot a music video in a place that he knew he should not have been.”

The APD is offering a $50,000 reward for information related to the crimes.

What Really Went Down on the Video Set?

Lil Baby himself was not injured in the shooting, but three men were shot and wounded in the chest, arm, and neck. Fortunately, all three survived and made full recoveries.

According to reports, the shooting erupted between two unknown parties on set, and tensions escalated into gunfire. Police arrived at the scene after paramedics had already begun treating the victims.

At the time, TMZ reported that members of Lil Baby’s label, Quality Control, were filming the video when the situation spiraled out of control.

KMOB1003’s Take 🎤

So what’s really going on here?

🔹 Is Lil Baby being unfairly targeted by police just for filming a video in his own city?
🔹 Or should artists be more cautious about where they shoot their visuals?

Either way, this case is heating up, and we’ll be keeping a close watch on how it unfolds.

What do y’all think? Are the accusations against Lil Baby justified, or is APD out of line? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
