Remy Bond, the pop singer-songwriter who made a splash last year with her viral hit “Summer Song,” has signed to Warner Records, and released a dreamy, altogether breathtaking new single, “Simple Girl,” on Friday (Feb. 7).
“I’m excited to be working with everyone at Warner Records,” Bond says of the label deal. “Warner stood out to me because of their unwavering belief in my world and bringing my vision to life. So thankful for all the support that everyone has shown me — especially my bond girls. Can’t wait to see y’all on tour <3.”
The 20-year-old New York City native’s latest single contains a cinematic quality thanks to its use of strings and far-reaching harmonies, and its nostalgia-heavy music video (directed by her sister, Olivia Bond) certainly leans into the fantasia that the song creates. “I’m a simple girl, I like gardening and drugs / I don’t really care about breaking his heart,” she sings, her declarations made plain before her voice shoots upward later on the track.
Bond’s similarly swaying “Summer Song” became her first single to gain traction last June, after she began independently releasing tracks in 2023. “Simple Girl” is her first release on Warner, and precedes Bond’s first proper project.
“We’re thrilled to have Remy Bond join the Warner Records family,” says Jeff Sosnow, Warner’s executive vp of A&R. “She’s a remarkable talent with a compelling, unique sound and a larger-than-life vision that serves as a throughline for all of her work.”
Jackson Harris, Warner manager of A&R, adds, “Remy is a true artist in every sense of the word. We’re excited for what the future holds for such a bright young star.”
