The latest chapter of Fortnite features a “reimagined island with weekly location and loot drops inspired by the best of early chapter two gameplay and some of the greatest music icons in history.”

Right now, Fortnite’s The Agency compound has been transformed into The Doggpound, in honour of Snoop Dogg. Players can claim Snoop’s drum gun mythic if they can defeat him, and he will also “join you as an ally”. Snoop is also the headliner of Fortnite Festival season 6, with a number of Dogg-inspired outfits available to collect.

“Being part of Fortnite is all about creating, playing, and sharing my music and culture with the next generation,” said Snoop Dogg. “My son Cordell’s a big Fortnite player with me, so when we had the opportunity we jumped on it as a new way to connect with my sound and style.”

From November 7, Eminem will be returning to Fortnite after making his debut last December. “Guess who’s back, ready for combat, man! I’m serving all new gear along with a side of spaghetti…come and get it! Feels good to return to Fortnite for more mayhem,” the rapper said.

“Eminem is reaching into his bag of tricks to make a restaurant appear, Mom’s Spaghetti, in the Grotto cave… an area known for its window shoppers and convenient location,” said developers in an extensive blog.  “If you can defeat Eminem, he’ll join your cause and bestow you with his Mythic RG Minigun  — a lyrical minigun with a rapid-fire flow.“

November 14 will see Ice Spice join Fortnite, with the rapper taking over Shark Island and renaming it Ice Isle. The reimagined land will be a neon-lit, Y2K-dripped abandoned shopping mall with an ominous aura.

“Getting the chance to come to the game and remix the chapter two map is unreal. It’s exciting to be a part of something so iconic, and I can’t wait for players to experience this new vibe. Fortnite is all about creativity and connection, and I’m hyped to bring my own spin to it!,” said Ice Spice.

Remix: The Finale will go live November 30 and will pay tribute to Juice WRLD, who died in 2019. More details about the event will be shared soon but anyone who logs in between November 30 and December 1 will receive a cel-shaded slayer Juice WRLD outfit.

“Jarad always loved to play Fortnite – it was more than just entertainment for him, it was a way to connect with others,” said Juice WRLD’s mom Carmela Wallace in a statement. “From a young age, video games were a part of how he bonded with friends and family, and being in Fortnite is an incredible tribute to that connection. I know he would be overjoyed to see how his love for games continues to bring people together across different spaces, just like his music does.”

In other news, it’s been reported that Ubisoft plans to release ten Assassin’s Creed games in the next five years with the Fall Guys-inspired free-to-play shooter Invictus, mobile game Jade and a remake of Black Flag all potentially releasing next year, alongside mainline title Assassin’s Creed: Shadows.
