This week, Billboard’s New Music Latin roundup and playlist — curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — features fresh new music from artists including Sech, Latin Mafia, Alejandro Sanz, Yahritza y Su Esencia and more.
Panamanian singer-songwriter Sech has released “Toy Perdio,” considered a comeback track. It’s his debut single under Rimas Entertainment and the first of his forthcoming album Tranki, Todo Pasa, due Nov. 29. Sech described this new era in his career as having “renewed energy and a clearer vision.”
Meanwhile, trio Yahritza y Su Esencia kick off Día de Muertos with a poignant and touching song titled “Y Qué Tal Si Te Escapas del Cielo,” a song they performed live during their Latin Music Week panel. The song is dedicated to their cousin who passed away.
“This verse touches my soul,” Yahritza said in a statement about the song. “Many of us have experienced the loss of someone special, and sometimes we just want one more moment, one last hug that tells us everything will be alright. Life is short and sometimes tough, so let’s make the most of every moment with our loved ones and focus on giving love and peace always.”
Other new releases include Alejandro Sanz’s “Palmeras En El Jardín,” Alejandro Fernández’s version of his father’s ranchera anthem “No Me Sé Rajar,” and regional Mexican stars Carín León and Gabito Ballesteros’ team up for “Ese Vato No Te Queda,” a departure from música mexicana.
