Speaking to Billboard , she opened up about the political climate in the US at the moment, and why she has since endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris over the Republican choice, Donald Trump.
“To be alive in a lifetime where a Black woman or a woman at all could be the president, I feel so blessed. This is what the future is about,” she told the publication. “We really about to get a strong, Black female in there. I feel like America needed a woman to come in here and put a woman’s touch on it. It’s been going a little crazy lately, and we need somebody to put their foot down. I feel like Kamala, she gon’ do that.”
She went on to comment on the fact that there is the potential to have two Black presidents “in the same lifetime,” saying Black people “are really doing the damn thing”.
“Now we just got to get out there and go vote,” she said, before explaining her stance on anti-voters. “I don’t like it when I see people saying, ‘I’m not voting. Fuck it’. What the fuck are you talking about? You’re going to complain about what you don’t like but you’re not going to help the cause?”
She concluded: “I think that’s very irresponsible because if you don’t like what Trump has going on, why even aid in him being the president again?”
Last month, at a rally in Atlanta, Harris brought out Thee Stallion to perform some of her greatest hits. On stage, she gave a speech: “Now I know my ladies in the crowd love their bodies. If you want to keep loving your bodies, you know who to vote for. I’m so happy to be here, Atlanta. We are about to make history with the first female President. The first Black female President. Let’s get this done, Hotties.”

After the rally, model and media personality Amber Rose – who is an avid supporter of Donald Trump – said Thee Stallion’s performance was a way for Harris to “pander to Black people”. “I think it’s absolute bullshit. I think that people in general just wanna know the policies,” she told famous streamer Adin Ross.
Other musicians like Charli xcx, Beyoncé, P!nk, Bon Iver, Quavo and more have come out in support of Harris as she continues to campaign ahead of this November’s election.
Thee Stallion also spoke about her feud with Nicki Minaj in her Billboard cover story. She said she doesn’t “even know what could be reconciled” because she doesn’t “know what the problem is” between her and Minaj.
In other news, Megan has been announced as the host of this year’s MTV VMA Awards. The main show will kick off at 8pm ET next Wednesday (September 11) at the UBS Arena in New York. She is also nominated for five awards at this year’s VMAs: Best Collaboration with GloRilla for ‘Wanna Be’, and Best Hip Hop, Best Direction, Best Art Direction and Best Visual Effects for ‘Boa’.
