The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is investigating Real Tamale United (RTU) for allegedly using unregistered players in a match against Dreams FC, which resulted in an 8-1 defeat for RTU.

Widespread reports suggest that in a Ghana Premier League match today, a player who did not travel with his team was recorded to have scored the consolation goal for the team.

The GFA has charged RTU under Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, for this misconduct.

The investigation also includes allegations of player impersonation.

RTU’s main players reportedly did not participate in the match due to unpaid salaries and bonuses.

The GFA is taking these allegations seriously to maintain the integrity of the game.
