Sherif, whose song has the makings of an instant classic, is currently enjoying success in the entertainment sector and has been nominated for the 2022 BET Hip Hop Award.
After the rapper’s 14-track album was released, fans and music lovers expressed their gratitude for it, praising Burna Boy, an African giant, who appears on track 14 (“Second Sermon Remix”).
On the streaming and music discovery platform Audiomack, the album The Villian I Never Was reached 70 million views in less than 24 hours after its release. The album also peaked at number 12 on the Billboard list, sandwiched between BTS’s “Love Yourself: Tear” album at number 13 and Wizkid’s “Made In Lagos” album at number 11.
On Ghana’s Apple Music Top 100 Charts, the songs “Oil In My Head,” “The Homeless Song,” “45,” and “Konongo Zongo” also made their debuts.

Along with Wizkid’s “More Love, Less Ego” discography, “Love, Damini” by the self-described “African Giant,” Burna Boy, and the critically acclaimed albums by Fireboy DML and Asake of the YBNL Nation, “Playboy” and “Mr Money With the Vibe,” were among the greatest albums.
Other Nigerian Afrobeats artists on the list included Seyi Vibez’s “Billion Dollar Baby,” T.I. Blaze’s “The Fresh Prince of Lagos,” T Dollar’s “Born 2 Shine (EP),” and the talented FAVE’s debut EP “Riddim 5”.
