BTSRM has announced the upcoming release of his second solo album, ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’.

Big Hit Music announced RM’s ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’ today (April 26) through BTS’ Weverse page. In its post, The K-pop agency also included a teaser image for the record, which features abstract, monochrome doodles of what appears to be an art gallery.

Due out on May 24 at 1pm KST, ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’ is being described as an “11-track album that captures some of the universal emotions that we all experience at some point in life, such as the feeling of being an outsider who doesn’t fit in”.

It also added that ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’ “falls within the alternative genre, boasting a rich sound coupled with frank, honest lyrics”. Details such as tracklist and title track will be disclosed at a later stage.

The forthcoming release of ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’ will mark RM’s first music since he enlisted into the South Korean military for mandatory two years of service in December 2023. His last release was his solo debut album, ‘Indigo’, which dropped in December 2022.

Led by title track ‘Wild Flower’, ‘Indigo’ included nine other tracks – all of which were co-written by RM himself. Production on the record was handled by long-time BTS collaborator Pdogg, john eun, HONNE, eAeon, among others.

The record also features several collaborative tracks, namely ‘Yun’ with Erykah Badu, ‘Still Live’ with Anderson .Paak, ‘All Day’ with Tablo of Epik High, ‘Hectic’ with Colde, and ‘Closer’ with Mahalia and Paul Blanco.

In other BTS news, an upcoming pop-up event called ‘Monochrome’ by BTS has announced several brand-new international locations, including Bangkok, Los Angeles, Jakarta and more. It will be available from April to June this year, with specifics dates varying per location.
