Speaking to NME, Purnell revealed that she’d left it late to get her friend – who was a huge fan of the show – a Christmas gift and so asked MacLachlan if he’d be able to make him a video instead – and he agreed.

“He’s just so so so sweet. He’s the most kind and generous person, as well as actor. I have so many stories about Kyle,” Purnell explained.

“I have a really really good friend who is a huge Twin Peaks fan. I got him for Secret Santa and so I asked Kyle if he would do a video. I never do stuff like this but honestly I didn’t buy a present and I’d left it to the last minute and panicked – that’s what really happened – and Kyle made him the sweetest video – it’s about two minutes, he puts on a suit – just for this video – like what a nice guy!

“He makes all these Twin Peaks references, ‘Damn good cup of coffee!’, and then he sends it over to me. My friend cried his eyes out – he was a mess. I just think that was the sweetest thing in the whole world. Such a nice guy.”

The highly anticipated television adaptation of the video game franchise, Fallout, arrived on Prime Video this week.

Following the massive success of video game adaptations such as The Last Of Us, the popular post-apocalyptic game set in 1950s USA has now been recreated for TV.

With its first game released in 1997, the franchise spans four games, released over almost two decades, with Fallout 4 being released in 2015.

As well as the four main games, there have been several spin-offs, beginning with Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood Of Steel, which was released in 2001.

Now, the franchise has made its way onto television screens, with all eight-episode available to watch now on Prime Video. Starring in the series alongside Purnell and MacLachan are Walton Goggins and Moisés Arias, among others.

The game also became known for its iconic soundtrack, and the TV series is no different. Containing a range of genres, and featuring tracks from Johnny Cash, Bing Crosby and The Ink Spots, the soundtrack encapsulates the variety of music in the US in the 1950s. You can check out all the songs on the soundtrack here.

Fallout is available on Amazon Prime now.
