Ye (formerly Kanye West) is back in the headlines—and this time, it’s not just about controversy. The Chicago rapper recently shared a moment of support from fellow artist Tyler, The Creator and reflected on the complex world of hip-hop relationships.
Ye posted a screenshot of Tyler allegedly liking a photo of A$AP Rocky on Instagram, adding a caption that had social media buzzing:
“My daughter’s second favorite artist still loves me. As rappers, we all like one big family. And I’m that n—a that still shows out even when there’s white people around.”
FROM CONTROVERSY TO CLARITY
Ye’s post comes just weeks after a firestorm of backlash following a series of antisemitic comments and controversial social media posts. The rapper had praised Hitler, labeled himself a Nazi, and dropped merch featuring a swastika—a move that got his Shopify store shut down. Even his recent collaborator Ty Dolla $ign had to distance himself from Ye’s statements.
But now, with his X (formerly Twitter) account reactivated, Ye seems to be taking a step back from the chaos. On Wednesday, Feb. 19, he posted:
“After further reflection, I’ve come to the realization that I’m not a Nazi.”
A SHOUT-OUT FROM SNL?
The drama didn’t stop there. During Saturday Night Live’s 50th-anniversary special, Adam Sandler performed a song that included the line:
“50 years of finding out your favorite musician is antisemitic.”
While Sandler didn’t mention names, Ye assumed the comment was aimed at him—and he didn’t seem too bothered.
“Adam Sandler, thank you for the love,” Ye tweeted.
