Noah Cyrus has thrown support behind her dad’s latest release amid claims Billy Ray Cyrus’ family are “genuinely worried” about him.
On Friday (February 7), the ‘July’ singer took to her Instagram stories to share a post about Billy Ray’s latest track, ‘Lost’, writing that she was “so proud” of her dad’s “INCREDIBLE new single”.
Featuring Tinnesz and Profitt, the new song marks the country singer’s first new release since his disastrous performance at the Liberty Ball during Donald Trump’s inauguration.
His appearance at the January ceremony was plagued by noticeable technical difficulties, leading him to ask if attendees had all fallen asleep and offer to end the set early if they weren’t interested in seeing it.
Fans on social media expressed concern, with one writing at the time: “I don’t mean to be rude, he’s probably going through something. But dang that was a hard watch.”

The rocky performance also triggered his son, Trace Cyrus – older brother of Noah and Miley Cyrus – to share an open letter expressing concern for their father’s health and wellbeing.
“You may be upset with me for posting this, but I really could care less at this point,” he wrote. “Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away. Noah desperately has wanted you to be a part of her life, and you haven’t even been there for her… That’s your baby girl. She deserves better. Somehow just like me, she still idolises you though.”
Firerose then weighed in, saying said was “glad the truth is coming to light” after her ex-husband’s performance, telling People: “What’s being seen in public now reflects much of what I experienced in private during our relationship.”
Cyrus and Firerose married in October 2023 and separated last May, with the divorce documents citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct. Cyrus then “vehemently” denied allegations of abuse from Firerose, alleging that he was in fact ”physically, verbally and emotionally” abused by her during the marriage.
The ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ singer was said to be “taking legal action” against his son after he implored his father to “get help”, with Trace posting a follow-up on Instagram to say: “For you to threaten me with legal action for wanting you to get help is a disgrace. Pappy is looking down at you with such disappointment I can assure you.
The country music star seemingly addressed the comments publicly for the first time earlier this year, taking to YouTube Shorts to share a statement about rallying support for those in need.
Uploading a clip from the music video to his 2009 song ‘Somebody Said A Prayer’, Billy Ray shared a caption that read: “Giving thanks for the California Rain . Praying for the brokenhearted and their pain. Praying for my family. For my children … sons and daughters…and their mother,” he wrote.
“Let this moment be the start of healing for us all. ‘The past does not equal the future.’ Amen”.
