Ghanaian gospel singer Diana Hamilton has officially commissioned a five-classroom block with an office unit at Dodo Tamale in the Oti Region, a project aimed at improving education in the community.
The commissioning ceremony took place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, marking the successful completion of an initiative she launched through the Diana Hamilton Foundation.
The ‘Perfect God’ singer first announced the project in 2021, hosting a charitable fundraising dinner to support its construction. The sod-cutting was done in January 2022, and after nearly three years of development, the school building was completed in December 2024.
The facility includes:
- Five fully furnished classrooms
- An office unit for administrative work
- Chairs and tables for all classrooms
The project was executed in partnership with Adom Group of Companies, highlighting a collective effort toward educational development in the community and region at large.
Before the official commissioning, the chiefs and people of Dodo Tamale honored Diana Hamilton by enstooling her as the Nkosuohemaa (Development Queen Mother) for her dedication to community growth. She was given the stool name Nana Hemaa Adwoa Amponsah I as a symbol of appreciation for her contributions to education.
Speaking at the event, the celebrated artiste expressed her gratitude to the community for their warm reception and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting educational initiatives across Ghana.

The classroom block commissioning forms part of the lead-up activities for the 2025 edition of the Awake Experience with Diana Hamilton, a highly anticipated worship event scheduled to take place in:
- Accra: February 16, 2025, at ICGC Christ Temple East, Teshie
- Kumasi: February 23, 2025, at Church of Pentecost Bantama
- Sunyani: March 2, 2025, at Eusbett Hotel
This year’s edition will feature top gospel music ministers, including Uncle Ato, Pastor Joe Bechem, Cindy Thompson, Quame Gyedu, Kofi Owusu Peprah, Mabel Okyere, Sandy Asare, Kweku Teye, Team Eternity GH, Elder Emmanuel Awortwe, and others.
