Taylor Swift Way Sign Auction Raises More Than $200,000 for Daily Bread Food Bank

Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour continues to spread positivity.

When the record-breaking trek made its way to Canada last month, the city of Toronto and Rogers Communications renamed Blue Jay Way — the street in front of the Rogers Centre that is usually home to its hometown Major League Baseball team — as Taylor Swift Way, complete with 22 ceremonial street signs that were set to be auctioned in support of the Daily Bread Food Bank. Rogers also announced that it would be matching donations to the Daily Bread Food Bank up to $113,000 — a nod to Swift’s favorite number, 13.

Now that Swift completed her six shows at the Rogers Centre, the auction of the Taylor Swift Way street signs raised an impressive $216,842.96 for the Daily Bread Food Bank, which works to eliminate food insecurity and end poverty. The total monetary value included $103,842.96 from successful bidders, and Rogers rounding up its matching contribution to $113,000.

“As presenting sponsor of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour in Canada, Rogers is proud to partner with the City of Toronto and Daily Bread Food Bank to help raise funds for the critical mission of the food bank. We know every dollar matters so we’ve rounded up the donation to contribute $113,000, Taylor’s favorite number,” said Jana Masiewich, head of partnerships at Rogers, in a press statement.

Swift is just days away from performing the final three shows of her Eras Tour, which will take place at the BC Palace in Vancouver, B.C., beginning Dec. 6 and ending on Dec. 8.
