Released in 2019, Hunt: Showdown is an extraction shooter where players take control of a bounty hunter to take out mythical creatures while avoiding other players. The game has received regular updates since its launch while the recently released 1896 version ushered in a “new era” for Hunt: Showdown.

“In corrupted backwaters lost to history, fight back alone – or with friends – against timeless evil,” reads the official description. “Twisted monsters and other ruthless Hunters stand between you and your Bounty. Risk everything as Hunt consumes you.”

And one person who really loves the game is Post Malone. “It’s the best game,” he said in an interview with developers. “My buddy got me into it. I’ve had the game for the better half of this last year. Whenever I’m on the road and I can’t play, I’m missing it. I’ve probably got 400 hours on it.”

“The circus followed the roads, going wherever he wanted. It got a bit of a rep, too. Post Malone was recently announced as the Sunday night headliner of Coachella 2025 alongside Lady Gaga and Green Day.

Coachella is set to take place from April 11-13 and April 18-20 and will also see performances from  Missy Elliott, Charli XCX, Megan Thee Stallion, solo performances from BLACKPINK‘s Lisa and Jennie, the original Misfits, The Prodigy, FKA Twigs, Beabadoobee and Clairo.
