Cate Blanchett and Kevin Hart lead the cast of the Borderlands movie adaptation.
Directed by Eli Roth (Hostel), the sci-fi action comedy is based on the video game series by Gearbox Software. It follows infamous outlaw Lillith (Blanchett) who forms an alliance of misfits to find the missing daughter of the most powerful man in the universe.

Other cast members include Edgar Ramirez as Atlas, Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, Florian Munteanu as Krieg, Gina Gershon as Mad Moxxi, Jamie Lee Curtis as Dr. Patricia Tannis, Haley Bennett as Lilith’s mother, and Jack Black as the voice of Claptrap.
In a two-star review, NME described the film as ‘lacking charm’ and having ‘little emotional sustenance to keep you going’.
Who composed the soundtrack for Borderlands?
The film’s score is by Steve Jablonsky, who is best known for his contributions to the Transformers film series. He’s also worked in the video game realm, providing music for Gears Of War 3, The Sims 3, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, among others.
