He admitted that his certificate was counterfeit and expressed deep remorse, stating that he did not deserve to live due to his actions.

The apology comes after his attempt to break the record was challenged and it was revealed that his registration with Guinness World Records was unsuccessful.

Chef Smith’s assistant, Leticia Martekie Sankah, also known as Tisha Bites, has issued a separate apology for her involvement in the fraudulent cookathon attempt.
